Jumpshot from Downtown... And It's Gooood!

Ever since I started following Dubstep.net on SoundCloud, I have been flooded with great tunes on a daily basis! Not every single one of them noteworthy for my tastes, but I can pretty much expect at least  one great track per day, and most are from artists I have yet to discover, like Jumpshot.

As you can hear, Immortality is one of those bomb daily doses I mentioned above. This very synth heavy banger definitely gives me hope for the genre. Don't get me wrong, I've been behind the 'Step ever since I first had my mind blown a few years ago, but in the recent, it seems that people might be losing faith. Sure, Skrillex received 5 Grammy nominations, which is a true breakthrough in the recognition of Dubstep as a popular genre amongst it's competitiors. BUT, it has definitely raised a large-scale debate about the genre's evolution.

Has it sold out? Hit it's creative ceiling?... yada yada yada.

I have watched Dubstep transition into the heavy-hittin, energy-infused, bass-crazy sound that it currently embodies, and I love it. I do wonder where it can go from here, and sometimes doubt the sustainability, yet, I am really excited to see what happens next!

I simply try not to get caught up in all that hype, and just enjoy this great ride. I love Dubstep, I am stoked for Skrillex and his success, and as long as tunes like this one keep gettin pumped out by artists, new or old, then I got faith. Hopefully, you're right there with me.
